A specialized geriatric ward was inaugurated at Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital to provide improved care for patients aged 65 and above. Chief District Medical Officer Dr. Mahesh Mohan Panda attended the inauguration of the ward.
This geriatric ward will provide specialized, comprehensive care for patients aged 65 and older. The ward offers specialized equipment including Infrapress massage machines, walking aids, comfort stands, and heavy-duty wheelchairs. Members of the hospital’s nursing and medical personnel attended the event. This ward will specially benefit the elderly population of Jharsuguda district, said Dr. Mahesh Mohan Panda.
Among others, DMO MS Shishi Shekhar Seth, Hospital Manager Atish Swain, DPM Deepak Mohanty, Senior Medical Officer P C Dalai, and Medical Specialist B D Mohanty were present.
