Tragic Wall Collapse Claims Life of Young Man and Injures Two Others

Brajarajnagar: A tragic incident occurred late Friday night when a wall collapsed in a house within the Brajarajnagar municipality of Jharsuguda district, resulting in the death of a 26-year-old man and injuring two others severely.

The victim has been identified as Abhaya Bhumik, a resident of Abhaypur Mundapada. His wife, Anu Munda, and their neighbor, Laxmi Munda, sustained serious injuries, while another person, Lalit Munda, suffered minor injuries.

Emergency services transported the injured individuals to the District Headquarters Hospital in Jharsuguda for medical attention. The wall fell around 10 pm while the family was inside their home. When the structure began to give way, the occupants attempted to escape to safety, but Abhaya was unable to get out in time and became trapped beneath the rubble.

He was promptly taken to Mandalia Hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead upon arrival.

A revenue inspector from Brajarajnagar visited the scene to evaluate the situation and has submitted a report to the tehsildar for further proceedings. The exact reason for the wall’s collapse remains unclear at this time.
