Jharsuguda: Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari reviewed ongoing development projects in Brajrajnagar Municipality, emphasizing the need for timely completion. After assessing the progress of various works, Pujari directed officials that all 240 under-construction projects must be completed within six months.
The minister instructed the Executive Officer to take strict action against contractors who neglect their duties in various areas. Progress on major projects, including the supermarket, riverbank beautification, Chandi Temple surroundings, and the library, was reviewed. Discussions were held to expedite the completion of the Kalyan Mandap, Auditorium, and Atal Bus Stand. Pujari also reviewed progress on the Ib river embankment and new ring road projects, engaging with Water Resources department Principal Secretary Shubha Sarma.
Plans for a new bridge and road over the Ib river near Kutabaga were also discussed, with the minister directing officials to expedite the survey work.
In light of the upcoming summer, Pujari instructed the Managing Director of WATCO to ensure a 24-hour water supply in Brajrajnagar and Belpahar, while also directing the Executive Officer to prioritize water-stressed areas. The minister emphasized the importance of hiring local individuals for all development and construction projects to promote self-reliance.
