The scheduled official visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Odisha has been canceled, as informed by MP Pradeep Purohit.
Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will not be visiting Odisha on July 3, 2026. Bargarh Member of Parliament (MP) Pradeep Purohit announced the cancellation of his visit on Thursday.
According to the initial itinerary, the Union Home Minister was expected to spend two days in Odisha, focusing on multiple development projects. His arrival was planned for July 3.
The Home Minister was set to participate in the inaugural ceremonies of several state-level development initiatives. Various programs were organized in anticipation of his arrival in Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar.
During his visit, the Home Minister was also scheduled to formally inaugurate a significant ethanol project in Bargarh.
However, the reason for the cancellation of his visit has not been disclosed, and there is currently no information regarding any future visits to Odisha.
