Odisha's Temperature Falls Below 40°C Due to Nor'wester Activity; Rain Expected for Next Week

Bhubaneswar: The maximum temperature in Odisha has fallen below the 40 degree Celsius threshold due to intense Nor’wester activity throughout the state.

According to the latest bulletin from the regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the highest temperature recorded by 2:30 PM was in Rourkela, where it reached 35 degrees. Jharsuguda followed closely with a maximum temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature is anticipated to decrease further in the coming days, providing additional relief to residents of Odisha who have been enduring a severe heatwave, as the weather department has forecasted rain for the next seven days.
