Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow warning on Tuesday night for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, predicting thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rainfall in one or two areas over the next three hours.
As per the weather bulletin released at 10 pm, thunderstorm activity is also anticipated in Puri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Nayagarh, and Bargarh districts.
The IMD has advised residents to closely monitor weather conditions and be prepared to relocate to safer areas if thunderstorms and lightning occur.
The yellow warning indicates the importance of being aware of changing weather conditions and taking necessary precautions to avoid lightning strikes and other weather-related dangers.
Authorities have urged the public, especially those involved in outdoor activities, to exercise caution until the weather system has passed.
