New Delhi: A train delay has resulted in a significant penalty for Indian Railways, extending beyond the journey itself. What started as a routine trip in August 2024 quickly escalated into months of legal proceedings for Odisha resident Chandi Prasad Khamari. He had purchased a ticket for Train No. 12129 from Jharsuguda to Howrah on August 23, anticipating a seamless journey that would allow him to catch a connecting flight to Guwahati at 8:05 am.
