'Sneha Setu' Reunites Missing Youth with Family After 18 Months

The humanitarian initiative ‘Sneha Setu’ in Jharsuguda district has reached another significant milestone by reuniting a missing youth from Bihar with his family after one and a half years.

Ranjit Yadav, 34, from Rohtas district in Bihar, was discovered in a vulnerable condition near Bamra in Sambalpur. On April 6, officials transferred him to Mission Ashalok-1 in Jharsuguda for treatment and care. After ten days of rehabilitation, Ranjit was able to recall his home address, which allowed authorities to contact his family.

Jharsuguda Collector Kunal Motiram Chabvan personally facilitated the reunion. On Thursday afternoon, Ranjit met his father, Lakshman Singh, and brother at the Collector’s office. The emotional reunion brought tears to his father’s eyes, who expressed profound gratitude to the district administration for their compassionate efforts.

‘Sneha Setu’ aims to reconnect missing individuals with their families through coordinated administrative and humanitarian action. The program has successfully assisted numerous people in returning home safely, highlighting Jharsuguda’s dedication to social welfare and empathy-driven governance.

Collector Chabvan emphasized that the initiative’s primary mission is to reunite missing persons with their loved ones and restore their dignity. He commended the team’s commitment and called for ongoing support for similar humanitarian initiatives.
