Jharsuguda Police Injure Two Notorious Criminals in Encounter Related to Murder Case

Jharsuguda police achieved a significant breakthrough in the Belpahar murder case when two prime suspects were injured during an encounter. The incident occurred near Rklakhman within the Belpahar police jurisdiction. Police tracked down the suspects, Sunil Mahanand alias Tabu (22) and Chand Banchhor (25), both from the Sambalpur-Burla area. Upon the police’s approach, the suspects fired four rounds. The police responded swiftly, injuring both men in the legs.

Authorities promptly transported the injured suspects to Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital. Police confirmed their direct involvement in the Belpahar murder case (Case No. 88/256). Both suspects already faced multiple serious charges at Sambalpur and Burla police stations. This encounter underscores the police’s strong stance against violent crime, with officers emphasizing the necessity of strict action against hardened criminals to ensure peace and law and order in the region.
