Passenger Injured as Stones Thrown at Moving Train

Bondamunda: Stones were reportedly thrown at the Darbhanga-Charlapalli Express while it was passing near Bondamunda in the Sundargarh district on Friday night, resulting in an injured and bloodied passenger. The incident took place around 11:30 pm when Train No. 17008 had just crossed the Bonda Munda railway station and was en route to Rourkela.

An unidentified individual allegedly threw stones at the train, hitting a general coach. One of the stones struck passenger Neeraj Kumar, a resident of Darbhanga in Bihar, on the hand, resulting in a bleeding injury. Following the incident, Kumar filed a complaint using the Rail Madad app.

After the train arrived at Jharsuguda railway station, staff from the railway hospital provided first aid to the injured passenger. In response to the complaint, Railway RPF personnel from Bondamunda promptly initiated a search operation in the surrounding areas.
