New Amrit Bharat Express Approved to Connect Nine Odisha Stations

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s efforts have reportedly yielded results as the Central government has approved a new Amrit Bharat Express service that will pass through nine stations in Odisha.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced this decision alongside CM Majhi, revealing that a new weekly Amrit Bharat train service will operate between Podanur (Coimbatore) and Dhanbad, linking Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Jharkhand.

The new Amrit Bharat Express will travel between Podanur Junction (Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu) and Dhanbad (Jharkhand), stopping at nine significant stations in Odisha: Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Balangir, Bargarh Road, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Rourkela.

This weekly train service aims to enhance connectivity in Southern and Western Odisha, providing benefits to students, migrant workers, traders, and general passengers traveling between South India and eastern India.
