Jharsuguda police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly murdering his elder brother with a stone near Brundamal railway station. The accused, Kshirod Nath Nag, had been on the run since March 1 after killing his 28-year-old brother, Vivekanath Nath Nag.
According to GRP IIC Santosh Mirdha, the incident occurred in a settlement close to the railway station, where Kshirod attacked his brother with a stone, resulting in his death before fleeing the scene. Following a search operation, police apprehended him on Friday afternoon at the Jharsuguda old bus stand area.
After the arrest, police presented the accused in court today, and investigators are looking into the motive behind this shocking crime that has disturbed the local community.
