To ease the rush of passengers, Western Railways is introducing special train services between Surat and Howrah. These trains will operate between Udhna Railway Station and Santragachi Railway Station.
This initiative aims to provide better travel options for passengers who often struggle to secure confirmed tickets and face long waiting times. With these special trains, travelers will have access to more seats and a more comfortable journey during peak travel periods.
Special train details: timing, schedule, halts
- Train No. 09073 – Udhna to Santragachi Special
- The train will run on 17, 22, and 24 April 2026, operating bi-weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays.
- Departure from Udhna is scheduled for 11:25 hrs, arriving at Santragachi at 21:00 hrs the following day.
- Train No. 09074 – Santragachi to Udhna Special
- The return service will operate on 19, 24, and 26 April 2026, also bi-weekly on Sundays and Fridays.
- This train will leave Santragachi at 00:05 hrs and reach Udhna at 10:00 hrs the next day.
These special trains will include sleeper and general second-class coaches.
Halts: The trains will stop at Nandurbar, Bhusaval, Badnera, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakaradharpur, Tatanagar, and Kharagpur stations in both directions.
