A court in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for raping a four-year-old girl in 2025. The additional district judge in Jharsuguda delivered the verdict on Tuesday.
Pankaj Podh, the main accused in the case, has received a life sentence, while his associate Anu Bagh has been sentenced to two years in prison, according to a statement from the Odisha Police.
The incident occurred on June 27 last year, and a case was registered at the Brajrajnagar police station on June 30. Odisha DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania praised the Jharsuguda Police for their swift investigation.
